Martyr's Poster
On April 19 2003 Palestinian camerman Nazih Darwazeh was shot in the eye by Israeli military while covering a 'usual' round of clashes between boys throwing rocks and military tank shootings in Nablus. It didn't matter that he was wearing his bright bullet-proof press jacket as the bullet went right through his head. Within a few hours posters of his martyrdom had already been plastered around the city. His funeral march brought out thousands of people and supporters from all the political factions and eulogies given by the city's highest ranking officials. Throughout the funeral procession a friend of Nazih's kept asking me if the foreign press company he worked for would give any compensation to his surviving wife and six kids
