a treatise on man versus nature [infrastructure of need][2005/7]
|
for a while everywhere i looked i could only see nature overtaken by man's needs, particularly by the infrastructure we often overlook, the infrastrucure that sustains our modern ways [air travel, cell towers, electricity, energy, etc.]. when i moved to new york i realized that the infrastructure here was much uglier and i put the photographs i had taken [mostly in california, in 2005] away... they're here now, although i don't feel the same anymore about man's power over nature now that i've left the indeed pristine landscapes of the west.
